Basketball Game Preview: Upper Scioto Valley Rams vs. North Baltimore Tigers

The Upper Scioto Valley Rams and the North Baltimore Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Upper Scioto Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-43 to Pandora-Gilboa. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, North Baltimore lost 56-31 to Allen East on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while the Mustangs are ranked 298th).

Upper Scioto Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for North Baltimore, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything went Upper Scioto Valley's way against North Baltimore in their previous meeting back in February, as Upper Scioto Valley made off with a 68-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Upper Scioto Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
