Softball Recap: Mount Abram Roadrunners vs. Mountain Valley Falcons
Mount Abram extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They came up short against the Mountain Valley Falcons, falling 22-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Roadrunners have suffered against the Falcons since May 29, 2021.
As for Mountain Valley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
For Mountain Valley's part, Addison Libby looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Libby has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
