Soccer Recap: Fayette County Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Fayette County duked it out with Chapel Hill on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. Fayette County were not able to make up for their loss to Chapel Hill from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Sokmora Teng wasn't going to let Chapel Hill walk away unscathed as she scored both of Fayette County's goals, bringing her season total up to 12 goals.

Fayette County's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Chapel Hill, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Coming up, Fayette County will head out to square off against LaGrange at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapel Hill, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
