Volleyball Recap: Sebeka Trojans vs. Verndale Pirates
With a playoff game on the line, Sebeka rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Verndale Pirates as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Sebeka's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Verndale between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.
Ellie Ness was nothing short of spectacular: she had 21 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2023.
Sebeka is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Verndale, they dropped their record down to 1-27 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sebeka will play host again on Friday to welcome Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, where the match is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Verndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
