Volleyball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Panthers vs. Jacksonville Crimsons
Decatur Eisenhower lost against Jacksonville back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Crimsons.
While Decatur Eisenhower was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15.
Keena Franklin paced Decatur Eisenhower's offense, picking up five kills. Franklin got some help from Taylianna Morgan and her nine assists. Finally, Ja'Nirah Hendrix kept Decatur Eisenhower's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Jacksonville was led to victory by Emalee Pool and Chloe Kuhn. Pool had 14 digs, while Kuhn had ten assists and four digs. Emma Guidish also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Decatur Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Jacksonville, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Decatur Eisenhower wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 0-0 defeat against St. Bede on the 20th. As for Jacksonville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Quincy on the 22nd.
