Basketball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus lost against Aplington-Parkersburg back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Columbus Sailors took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will head out to take on Dike-New Hartford at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Hudson at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Aplington-Parkersburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Hudson likes a good challenge.
