Mission Oak had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Porterville Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since May 14, 2024.

Mission Oak got a great performance from Jeremiah Taylor as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Taylor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ben Romans, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Nick Retiz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
