Volleyball Recap: Coon Rapids Cardinals vs. Centennial Cougars
Coon Rapids faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 25-13, 25-17.

Leading Coon Rapids to victory were Josh Kavanaugh and Josh Hyatt. Kavanaugh had 11 digs and one assist, while Hyatt had seven digs, five kills, and two aces. Those seven digs gave Hyatt a new career-high. Matthew Her also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
They weren't the only good server: Coon Rapids was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.
