Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. West Holmes Knights

After only one run in their last contest, Lexington made sure to put some runs up on the board against West Holmes on Tuesday. The Lexington Minutemen walked away with a 12-7 victory over the West Holmes Knights. For Lexington, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 loss West Holmes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Jillian Morr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Kylie Thornton was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

On West Holmes' side, Zalina Proper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and a double. Another player making a difference was Peyton Carathers, who went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for West Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
