Basketball Recap: Glen Iris Baptist Beats Trinity Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Glen Iris Baptist had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Trinity Christian Tigers with a sharp 33-11 win. The Swordsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Glen Iris Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rebekah Everett out in front who posted four points along with five assists and four steals. Everett is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Griffin, who put up seven points in addition to 12 boards and five blocks.

Glen Iris Baptist's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Glen Iris Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-29 victory against Pineview Christian on the 24th. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
