Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merrill). They claimed a resounding 62-20 victory over the Potterville Vikings. Winning may never get old, but the Vandals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Merrill's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Potterville, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrill will host Carson City-Crystal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vandals are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Potterville, they will welcome Holton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
