David City lost against Thayer Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Scouts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The Scouts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21.

Despite the loss, David City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sadie Nicolas had 11 assists and four digs.

David City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Thayer Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Coincidentally, David City and Thayer Central will both be playing Wilber-Clatonia the next time they take the court. The Scouts will head out to face the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
