Volleyball Recap: Waltham Has No Trouble Against Belmont

Waltham made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Belmont, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks blew past the Marauders 3-0 on Thursday. The Hawks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Marauders, so the Hawks were just returning the favor.

Waltham never let Belmont on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-22.

Waltham has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Belmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Waltham will take on Newton South at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Belmont, they are taking a road trip to face off against Boston Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
