Basketball Recap: Benton Takes a Loss

Benton lost against Pinckneyville back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Benton Rangers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Pinckneyville Panthers.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Pinckneyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

Benton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pope County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pinckneyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
