The Fort Knox Eagles the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Christian Educational Consortium Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Fort Knox is ranked 241st, while Christian Educational Consortium is ranked 220th).

Fort Knox lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 80-47 loss at the hands of Caverna. Fort Knox has not had much luck with Caverna recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Christian Educational Consortium had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Evansville HomeSchool R at home to the tune of 76-48. Christian Educational Consortium has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Christian Educational Consortium relied on the efforts of Jack Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Nathan Johnson, who scored 21 points along with nine assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hawkins, who scored eight points.

Fort Knox bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Christian Educational Consortium, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Fort Knox came up short against Christian Educational Consortium in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 70-60. Can Fort Knox avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
