Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Lions vs. Rainier Columbians

The Jefferson Lions will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Rainier Columbians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jefferson is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 12-2 to Regis on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rainier fell victim to Gladstone and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Gladiators, falling 9-0.

Jefferson took their victory against Rainier when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rainier turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
