It was a good run, but Kiski Area unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the McDonogh Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 238th in Pennsylvania, while the Eagles are ranked 39th in Maryland).

Kiski Area now has a losing record at 6-7. As for McDonogh, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Kiski Area will head out on the road to square off against Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonogh has already played their next game, a 50-49 win against Kiski School on the 18th.
