Softball Recap: Fairland Comes Up Short

Fairland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-4 to the Raceland Rams.

Fairland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Shepherd, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another was Katie Dehart, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fairland's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Raceland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Fairland will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Portsmouth West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairland is facing Portsmouth West at the right time seeing as Portsmouth West is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Raceland, they will take on Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
