Baseball Recap: Chester County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chester County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the South Gibson Hornets. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Hornets on their field since May 13, 2019.

Tage Hill looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Chester County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lane Estes, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Chester County's record is now 16-8. As for South Gibson, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-7.

Chester County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
