Football Recap: University Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

University Prep fell victim to Fortuna and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Huskies and fell 35-0. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Talis Payne threw for 75 yards on 14 of 27 attempts. Jackson Kersten was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

University Prep dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fortuna, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

University Prep and Fortuna will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to challenge their familiar foe Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. Meanwhile, Fortuna will face off against rival Del Norte at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
