Preview: Center Line Prep vs. Trillium Academy
After two games on the road, Center Line Prep is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet Trillium Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Center Line Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Center Line Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 73-40 win over Taylor Prep. The result was nothing new for Center Line Prep, who have now won three matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, even though Advanced Tech Academy scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, Trillium Academy still came out on top. Trillium Academy took their matchup against Advanced Tech Academy 76-67. Given Trillium Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Advanced Tech Academy is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sharone Russ continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 41 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stephon Twitty, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Center Line Prep's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Trillium Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
