Volleyball Recap: Northeast Lauderdale Takes a Loss

Northeast Lauderdale lost against Newton County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Despite the loss, Northeast Lauderdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Brown had eight digs. Camilla Collison also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Northeast Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Newton County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Lauderdale will host Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton County, they will face off against Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
