Soccer Game Preview: Lorena vs. Columbia

The Lorena Leopards will challenge the Columbia Roughnecks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lorena is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Rockdale get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Given Lorena's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Rockdale are ranked 653rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Columbia came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Brahmas as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Six seems to be a good number for Columbia as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Lorena's record is now 15-4. As for Columbia, their record is now 16-5-1.
