Volleyball Recap: Rosemount Irish vs. Farmington Tigers
If Rosemount was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Burnsville on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Irish came up short against the Farmington Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
While Rosemount had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.
Ada Diaz paced Rosemount's offense, picking up 12 kills. Diaz got some help from Payten Diekmann and her 30 assists.
Rosemount dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Rosemount didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Eastview on the 23rd.
