Basketball Recap: Westside Christian Comes Up Short

Westside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 44-17 defeat at the hands of the Elmira Falcons. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Westside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Elmira, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westside Christian will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Cascade Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elmira, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tillamook at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
