Football Recap: West Iron County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Iron County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Bark River-Harris Broncos and fell 42-14. The Wykons lost against the Broncos in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

West Iron County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bark River-Harris, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

West Iron County and Bark River-Harris could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Wykons (ranked 495th) will meet Iron Mountain (ranked 138th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bark River-Harris will take on Auburndale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (265 vs. 107).
