Baseball Recap: Tompkins Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

After only two runs in their last game, Tompkins made sure to put some runs up on the board against Paetow on Thursday. The Tompkins Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Paetow Panthers, sneaking past 14-13. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Tompkins pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Paetow, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1.

Looking ahead, Tompkins will be playing at home against Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paetow, they will head out to challenge Mayde Creek on Friday. Paetow has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
