            Softball Recap: Murdock Blue Devils vs. Maynard Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Murdock was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  14-3 to the Maynard Tigers. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing  10-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Murdock got a big performance out of  Lilyana Lee, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  Lee  hit this season.  Kenndra Lamb was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
Murdock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maynard, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
 Coming up, Murdock will host Tahanto Regional  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Maynard, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Gardner  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86  runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
