Football Recap: Smoky Hill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Smoky Hill extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a blow against the Grandview Wolves, falling 40-6. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Wolves are ranked 12th).

As for Grandview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 28 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Chris Blanks, who rushed for 102 yards and four TDs on only six carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Smoky Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Grandview will challenge rival Cherokee Trail at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Blanks and Logan Posey.
