Colton Veltkamp Delivers Best Effort of Season

Colton Veltkamp produced his most outstanding game to date while leading South Warren to the win on Friday. Veltkamp picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The victory was the third in a row for South Warren, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Veltkamp and South Warren will take on Ohio County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bailey Posts Huge Game in 28-24 Defeat

Deuce Bailey put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

South Warren had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Bailey it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Bailey saw the Spartans), he threw for 376 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes.

Trevy Barber Makes It Two for Bowling Green

Another Bowling Green player making an appearance on this list is Trevy Barber. He picked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

On the season, Barber has caught 11 touchdowns while averaging 95.5 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 33.25 receiving yards per game.
