Basketball Game Preview: King Vikings vs. Greenwich Country Day Tigers

The King Vikings will take on the Greenwich Country Day Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in King's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Wednesday, King had just enough and edged Canterbury School out 72-69.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aj Trimboli, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five assists. Trimboli continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Trimboli, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Greenwich Country Day had already won four in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it five back in December of 2024. They escaped with a win against the Storm by the margin of a single free throw, 69-68.

King is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Greenwich Country Day, they now have a winning record of 1-0.
