Baseball Game Preview: MacDonald Condor vs. Cupertino Pioneers

The MacDonald Condor will venture away from home to challenge the Cupertino Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. MacDonald's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

MacDonald lost 24-1 to Santa Clara on Tuesday.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Cupertino and Monta Vista had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pioneers skirted past the Matadors 9-7. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Cupertino pushed their record up to 8-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for MacDonald, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

MacDonald might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Cupertino in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Condor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
