Volleyball Recap: Strom Thurmond Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Strom Thurmond extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jules Sides. The Rebels came out on top against the Abbeville Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Sides, who had 17 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Strom Thurmond had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 29-31, 25-22, 25-13, 25-16.

The victory got Strom Thurmond back to even at 8-8. As for Abbeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Strom Thurmond will head out on the road to challenge Pelion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Abbeville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind on the 8th.
