Calhoun had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 44-point drubbing they dealt Van on Friday. The Calhoun Red Devils blew past the Van Bulldogs, posting a 59-15 victory. The Red Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey Tackett, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brailynn McCarty, who had four points.

Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Van, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Calhoun will face off against Webster County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van, they will welcome Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
