Basketball Game Preview: Stryker Panthers vs. Gorham Fayette Eagles

Stryker is on a three-game streak of home losses, Gorham Fayette a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m.

Last Saturday, Stryker came up short against Montpelier and fell 72-59. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Locomotives are ranked 267th).

Meanwhile, Gorham Fayette can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game last Friday. They came out on top against Morenci by a score of 37-30.

Gorham Fayette's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Stryker, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-6.

Stryker was able to grind out a solid victory over Gorham Fayette when the teams last played on December 10th, winning 50-38. Will Stryker repeat their success, or does Gorham Fayette have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
