Softball Game Preview: Grant County Braves vs. Ryle Raiders

The Grant County Braves will head out to take on the Ryle Raiders at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grant County came out on top against Bishop Brossart on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Braves never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Braves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ryle waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jaguars, sneaking past 7-5.

Ryle pushed their record up to 13-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Grant County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1.

Grant County couldn't quite finish off Ryle in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 2-0. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
