Softball Recap: Tidehaven Wins Going Away Against Rice Consolidated

While Tidehaven put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Rice Consolidated. The Tigers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won nine in a row.

Lacie Perez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kailea Freeman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Addison Duckett was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Tidehaven kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tidehaven's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Rice Consolidated, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

Tidehaven wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-3 victory against Palacios on the 8th. As for Rice Consolidated, they have also already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against Columbus on the 8th.
