Kirbyville is 8-2 against Hardin since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hornets  at 6:00  p.m. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Kirbyville sitting on  four straight  victories and Hardin on three.
Last Friday, Kirbyville made easy work of East Chambers  and carried off  an  8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 14 contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Calli Wiggins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on one hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jules Carrell, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Wilkes, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
12 must be Hardin's lucky number: they beat Warren with that score not once but twice  on Friday. The Hornets were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over the Warriors.
Hardin got a  massive  performance out of  Kaitlyn Key, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Emma Smart, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Hardin  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .562. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Kirbyville's victory was  their sixth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 22-6. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Hardin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14-1.
 Everything went Kirbyville's way against Hardin in their previous matchup  back in March, as Kirbyville made off with  a  10-0 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
