Baseball Recap: Arlington Triumphs

Arlington got themselves on the board against Sam Houston on Wednesday, but Sam Houston never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Texans. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Danny Bustamante, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Sam Houston off the board. Bustamante also tossed no walks, which is notable because Arlington is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Arlington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden White, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Arlington and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Sam Houston, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Arlington will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sam Houston: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
