Football Recap: West Washington Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for West Washington's offense. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Springs Valley Blackhawks on Friday. The Senators have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Springs Valley had a senior duo take command as Noah Allstott rushed for 141 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry and Augie Purkhiser rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only eight carries. With that strong performance, Allstott is now averaging an impressive 100.2 rushing yards per game.

West Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Springs Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Washington will take on Paoli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Springs Valley, they will challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
