Baseball Game Preview: Newton Tigers vs. Sebastopol Bobcats

Newton is 1-6 against Sebastopol since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Newton Tigers face off against Sebastopol Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Newton has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Newton is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 23rd straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against Union, falling 16-1.

Sebastopol played against Scott Central on Saturday and won via forfeit.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sebastopol, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Newton might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Sebastopol when the teams last played back in March of 2018. Can Newton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
