Volleyball Game Preview: Sutton Mustangs vs. Thayer Central Titans

The Sutton Mustangs will face off against the Thayer Central Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

If Fillmore Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sutton, they should've done a better job of containing Kyla Griess. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Griess, who had 12 digs and three aces. Griess is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Sutton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Thayer Central strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Centennial as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Thayer Central was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.

Sutton's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Thayer Central, their win bumped their record up to 14-0.
