Volleyball Recap: Yates Center Wildcats vs. Humboldt Cubs

Yates Center lost against Humboldt back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cubs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Cayten Cummings paced Yates Center's offense, picking up two kills. Cummings got some help from Madison Hall and her two assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Humboldt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bailey Daniels, who had six digs and five assists. Another player making a difference was Skylar Hottenstein, who had eight digs and two aces.

Yates Center's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Humboldt, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Yates Center will face off against Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Humboldt, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
