Softball Recap: New Berlin West Comes Up Short

New Berlin West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mukwonago Indians.

Izzy Freisleben and Morgan Kopischke stepped up to the plate in a big way. Freisleben went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI, while Kopischke went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

New Berlin West's record now sits at 2-12. As for Mukwonago, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Looking ahead, New Berlin West will head out to take on Waukesha West at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mukwonago, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Waukesha South at 4:30 p.m.
