Baseball Game Preview: Diamond Wildcats vs. New Heights Christian Academy Cougars

The Diamond Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Diamond made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lockwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Diamond never let Lockwood get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday.

Brailen Hicks and Austin Girdner did most of the damage at the plate: Hicks scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3, while Girdner went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale Adams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Diamond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lockwood only posted a batting average of .000.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when New Heights Christian Academy faced off against Exeter on Tuesday. New Heights Christian Academy came out on top against Exeter by a score of 4-0.
