Incarnate Word Academy and Lee's Summit North squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Incarnate Word Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 3-2. The Red Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cate Mcculloch paced Incarnate Word Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Mcculloch got some help from Emily Stephens and her 11 assists. Player #22 controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 25-15. As for Lee's Summit North, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 30-7.
