Baseball Recap: Flanagan Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Flanagan won the last time they faced St. Thomas Aquinas and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Flanagan Falcons won by a run and slipped past the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Brandon Padro looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Daniel Chavez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Colmenares, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Flanagan pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Flanagan will head out on the road to challenge Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Goleman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
