Basketball Game Preview: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Reed City Coyotes

The Ithaca Yellowjackets will take on the Reed City Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Reed City heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Ithaca took over last week. Ithaca narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Michigan Lutheran Seminary 34-32. The 34-point effort marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Reed City). They managed an 80-75 victory over Newaygo on Friday.

Reed City's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for Ithaca, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Ithaca was able to grind out a solid win over Reed City in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 57-50. Will Ithaca repeat their success, or does Reed City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
