Basketball Game Preview: Smithfield Sentinels vs. Toll Gate Titans

Having just played yesterday, the Smithfield Sentinels will head out on the road to face off against the Toll Gate Titans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Smithfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Mt. Hope, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Smithfield was ranked 21st). Smithfield took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Hope.

Meanwhile, Toll Gate had to suffer through a 53-18 loss at the hands of Narragansett. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Smithfield dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Toll Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
