Softball Preview: Jasper Wildcats vs. Southridge Raiders
Jasper is 9-1 against Southridge since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Jasper Wildcats will be playing at home against the Southridge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Jasper was able to grind out a solid win over Vincennes Lincoln, taking the game 6-1.
The team relied heavily on Brooke Kleiser, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Olivia Young was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Southridge can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-5 margin over Forest Park. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southridge.
